Today, the Lawson dynasty, with its eight historical sovereigns, continues to watch over Aneho's spiritual and temporal heritage. The Lawsons' palace, in the heart of the Lolan district, remains a gathering place for the community during traditional ceremonies and Epe-Ekpe festivities. Direct descendants participate actively in the city's cultural and political life. Their role is no longer that of absolute sovereigns, but of guardians of collective memory.
